Old Woman Josie out near the car lot says the angels revealed themselves to her; said they were ten feet tall, radiant, and one of them was black; said they helped her with various chores. One of them changed a light bulb for her, the porch light. She’s offering to sell the old light bulb, which has been touched by an angel. It was the black angel, if that sweetens the pot for anyone.

Two third of the way through my Welcome To Night Vale stitch set! This time featuring Old Woman Josie’s angels. Including two white angels and the black angel, holding the light bulb that has been touched by an angel.
I have seen a lot of different variations of the angels in various fanarts, but I went with my own interpretation; tall and skinny, covered in eyes. They were supposed to have eyes all over their wings and bodies, but i didn’t want to clutter them up too much so they just have six eyes on their faces.
The black angel didn’t originally have any outline, but it just didn’t show up against the purple background very well, so I gave it a little outline. Only I did it in the lavender color, and the words were in the pink-purple. Except the pink-purple words didn’t show up, so I had to take out all my colors and switch the two shades.
Still, I’m pleased with how it turned out, even if the ‘t’ in ‘themselves’ got a little lost in there. This was one of my favorite patterns to design and execute, and I’m extremely pleased with how it turned out.
Pattern measures 4 x 6 inches on 14-count plastic mesh.
I actually finished this yesterday but didn’t post it until now shh don’t tell

Here’s a Welcome to Night Vale cross stitch chart for you all to enjoy! The quote comes from the opener of episode twenty-two, “The Whispering Forest.”
Border to border, the chart is 119 x 134 stitches, and uses four colors of floss. It should be good for everyone— including those new to cross stitch.
Floss Color Suggestions:
Black- DMC 310
White: DMC BLANC
Light Purple: DMC 917 or DMC 552
Dark Purple: DMC 3834 or DMC 550
(As always, make sure to eyeball the colors to make sure they’ll work for you!)
